Day 1
Sunday 26th of May

Direct flight from Milan Malpensa to Bucharest with Ryanair Departure 12:30 and landing in Bucharest at 15:50

On arrival, at the airport in Bucharest, a local guide will meet the participants.

A private guided panoramic coach Tour of Bucharest. The main touristic objectives that can be seen in the panoramic tour will be: The Village Museum/ Herastrau Park/ The Peasants Museum/ Victory Square/ City Centre.

One night accommodation in Bucharest

in a 3-4 star hotel in the central part of Bucharest, on walking distance to the Old Town.

Bucharest is the capital of Romania, the administrative and political capital of the country, an important cultural, industrial, commercial and financial centre, and as well the largest city in the country. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was known as the “Little Paris”, thanks to its architecture and artistic life.

Free time in the evening.

Day 2 to 5
Monday 27th of May till Thursday 30th of May

On Monday, breakfast at the hotel and luggage storage. A private visit to the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest.

Entrance fees are included. Private transfer by coach from the hotel to the Palace of Parliament.

The Palace of Parliament is the seat of the Parliament of Romania. Key features:

  • the second largest administrative building in the world after Pentagon as area (365,000 m2),
  • the third building in the world as volume (2,550,000 m3) after the Space Center Cape Canaveral in Florida and Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl in Mexico,
  • the heaviest building in the world (weighing around 4,100,000,000 kg).
Private transfer from Bucharest to Danube Delta

by coach (Bucharest – Murighiol) and by boat (Murighiol – Sfantu Gheorghe).

4 night accommodation at the 4 star Green Village Complex in Danube Delta.
2 local trips are organised:
  1. Letea Forest & Sulina Branch (about 8 hours)
  2. Danube lakes (about 3 hours)

The exact days will be established depending on weather conditions.

The Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve is the best preserved Europe’s delta. It is an UNESCO heritage. Key data:

  • it has 580,200 ha surface of rivers, canals, marshes, tree-fringed lakes and reed islands,
  • it has the third largest biodiversity in the world with over 6,500 flora and fauna species,
  • many species are protected by the Bern Convention: an important number of birds (313 out of the 331 species), mammals (22 protected species and 7 strictly protected species) and fish (22 protected species),
  • it is the home to over 60% of the world's population of pygmy cormorants (phalacrocorax pygmeus), 50% of red-breasted geese (branta ruficollis), the largest number of white pelicans (pelecanus onocrotalus) and Dalmatian pelicans (pelecanus crispus) in Europe,
  • it hosts the world's largest reed bed expanse – 240,000 ha.

The Letea Forest is the oldest natural reservation in Romania, since the beginning of the 20th century. It covers an area of about 2,800 ha. It has a subtropical aspect, with many climbing plants. It has a rich fauna, including the red-footed falcon, the white-tailor eagle, the roller, the hoopoe, the vipera ursinii, the Danube Delta wild horse, the raccoon dog and over 1600 insects.

Various activities and leisure time: sun-bathing, swimming, kids’ corner, ping-pong, billiard, going to the beach, bird watching, etc.
Full-board (buffet type, without soft or alcoholic drinks) is provided

starting with lunch on 27/05 and ending with lunch on 31/05.

In one day, lunch will be served outside the resort, during the Letea trip.

Day 6
Friday 31st of May

After check-out (lunch included on 31/05, before departing) Private transfer from Danube Delta to Bucharest by boat & coach.
2 nights Accommodation in Bucharest

in a 3-4 star hotel in the central part of Bucharest, on walking distance to the Old Town.

Free time upon arrival.

Day 7
Saturday 1st of June

After breakfast, departure to Prahova Valley. One day private trip by coach on Prahova Valley with visits to Sinaia (Peles Castle) and Bran Castle.

Entrance fees are included.

Lunch is provided during the trip.

The Peles Castle is located in the city of Sinaia, in the Carpathian Mountains. . It was built between 1873 and 1914, by the King Carol I, as a summer royal residence. It is constructed in a in Neo-Renaissance style, with an area of 3,200 m2, housing 160 elegant rooms, with beautiful decorations, and an armoury collections with over 4,000 pieces. It became the first castle in Europe fully powered by locally produced energy, with an electric system and a central heating system.

The Bran Castle is an unique landmark, a medieval fortress with imposing towers built on top of a cliff on the border between two historical regions – Transylvania and Wallachia. Its aura of mystery is linked to the prince ruler Vlad the Impaler, who, according to the chronicles of the time, would impale his enemies and thieves. He was immortalised by Bram Stoker in his book “Dracula”. And thanks to this, the castle is well-known as the Dracula’s Castle. The castle was offered as a gift by the people of Brasov to Queen Marie of Romania, and served as royal residence.

Return to Bucharest and free time in the evening.

Day 8
Sunday 2nd of June

Breakfast at the hotel and luggage storage. A private visit to the Village Museum.

Entrance fees are included.

The Village Museum is an open-air museum located in the beautiful Herastrau Park. There you can find an amazing collection of authentic peasant farms and houses, windmills, watermills, and churches, representing all the regions in Romania.

Private transfer by coach to the airport. Flight from Bucharest to Milan Malpensa Departure 16:20 and landing in Milano at 17:45
